Compare Grundfos dosing pumps

Want to buy a Grundfos dosing pump, controller or complete dosing system?

Grundfos is an originally Danish manufacturer that has been developing and producing pumps since the 1940s. The company now operates in more than 60 countries worldwide and supplies a diverse product range with many different types of dosing pumps, controllers and other installations for water treatment.

On this page, we provide information on a number of Grundfos pumps, controllers and installations. We have set up the page so that on this page you can directly compare a number of Grundfos products with similar products from our range.

The products in this comparator are from the Italian company Emec. These products are comparable in quality, are competitively priced and you get a standard 5-year warranty on the pumps and controllers.

Compare Grundfos dosing pump

It is often difficult to make a comparison when it comes to dosing. There are very many different specifications and options. To make this easier, on these pages we have compared some commonly used Grundfos pumps, controllers and installations against Emec's alternatives.

Grundfos DDA compared with Emec Prisma

The Grundfos DDA series offers a number of metering pumps with a stepper motor for optimal and precise dosing applications. In addition, this pump features a SlowMode function that can control suction and a FlowControl function that ensures a constant flow despite bubbling. An alternative to this pump is the Emec Prisma. The table below provides a clear comparison between these two pumps.

About Emec Metering Pumps

Emec is an Italian company that has specialised in dosing systems and measuring equipment for chemicals for over 35 years. This extensive experience and passion for the product is reflected not only in the reliability and innovation of the dosing systems, but also in customer focus. For example, Emec offers a 5-year warranty* (!) as well as excellent after-sale support.

* Warranty applies to the equipment and diaphragm only. Not for the wet parts such as the pump head.

Comparing Grundfos DID with Emec LDS Plus

Comparing the Grundfos DID (CU 382 series) and the Emec LDS Plus, we see that Grundfos' controller has sensors with built-in electronics. The Emec sensors, in many cases, do not have this. The advantage of this is that the sensors, the parts that most often need to be replaced, are the most favourable at Emec in terms of pricing. In addition, the LDS Plus has more connection and communication capabilities, including the ERMES server that allows you to operate the controller remotely. Both controllers offer a package price depending on the value you want to measure.

The table below shows the exact differences between the two controllers.

Comparing Grundfos DID with Emec Centurio

Comparing the Grundfos DID controller and the Emec Centurio, we see that the difference is mainly in the number of sensors (channels) you can connect. In addition, the Emec Centurio also has more communication options. For instance, the Emec Centurio can be controlled remotely thanks to its operation with the ERMES server and web apps. As also described earlier for the Emec LDS Plus, the Grundfos DID has sensors with built-in electronics, where the Emec Centurio sensors (not included as standard) do not have this and are therefore more favourable in terms of price.
