Emec Prism mA mode

The Emec Prisma is made to make dosing as easy as possible. This all-rounder is known as the most innovative Emec dosing pump to date! One of the reasons for this is the large number of 'modes'. Below, we tell you more about the mA (milliampere) mode.

How does the Emec Prisma mA Mode work?

The milliampere mode feeds current to the pump, which determines the proportional dosage. This dosage is determined by the set minimum and maximum mA values. Usually this is 4-20 mA.
For this operating mode, you need to connect an external input, e.g. a PLC or process computer.

The mA mode can be set in the following way:

  • Press the encoder to switch on the pump.
  • Select the following:
    • Settings
    • Advanced
    • Working mode
    • mA
  • Here you need to set four values:
    • Maximum input signal mA.
    • Maximum flow rate (l/h or ml/h).
    • Minimum input signal mA.
    • Minimum flow rate (l/h or ml/h).
  • Within this range of values, dosing is done according to the input signal mA.
  • Once programming is complete, select the 'save' icon and press the encoder.
  • Return to the main screen to activate the saved working mode.
