Emec Prism Calibration

The Emec Prisma is made to make dosing as easy as possible! This all-rounder is known as the most innovative Emec dosing pump to date! The highest precision is achieved by calibrating the dosing pump at the first use within your process conditions.

How do you calibrate the Emec Prism?

A diaphragm metering pump gives a somewhat different flow outside the operating point. By calibrating the pump, you can achieve optimum precision. To calibrate the Emec Prisma, you need:

  • A foot filter
  • A liquid
  • A beaker
  • A pressure hose
  • A suction hose
  • An installed pump in a newly sealed pressurised system.

The steps for calibration are as follows:

  • Connect the discharge hose and suction hose to the pump head.
  • Place the foot filter in the beaker.
  • To start the calibration, select:
    • Settings
    • Advanced
    • More
    • Test
  • Set the seconds and select start to start the calibration.
  • To find out the exact flow rate of the pump, subtract the remaining liquid in the beaker from the total of the original liquid.

When it says on the Prism that calibration is complete, the pump is ready to operate again.
